About us

The desire to live and work in peace and nature led occupational therapist Julia Holzhäuser and naturopath Dirk Kolberg and their children to Weberstedt, the gateway to the Hainich.

After running a practice in Erfurt for many years, the opportunity arose in spring 2017 to realise these wishes at Schloss Goldacker and create a completely unique concept with practice and seminar rooms, guest rooms and healthy cuisine.

Julia Holzhäuser and Dirk Kolberg live with their children on the top floor of Schloss Goldacker.

Julia Holzhäuser writes about herself…
After training as an occupational therapist in Dresden, my career path led me to a unique position in East Frisia. There I became part of a complex, interdisciplinary medical system with 14 practices, hospitalisation and intensive care.

The experience I gained in East Frisia in various specialist areas (neurology, orthopaedics, paediatrics and psychiatry) has been further expanded and updated over 20 years with high-quality further training.

In my day-to-day practice, I quickly came to the realisation that treating symptoms alone only achieves short-term success, but that long-term improvement always requires the search for causes and the causes behind the causes. So I began to develop and successfully implement my own diagnosis and treatment system.

Ultimately, for personal reasons (food intolerances and allergies), I also began to study nutritional science, TCM (traditional Chinese medicine), traditional Indian medicine (including Ayurveda), kinesiology and homeopathy.

At a seminar on micro-energy therapy (microcurrent), I got to know and appreciate Dirk Kolberg and his methods. In the years that followed, we developed a close working relationship that eventually led to our joint work at Schloss Goldacker.

In addition to my practice and family (with three children), my personal commitment to health, family and education is very important to me.

With best wishes for you and your family
Julia Holzhäuser

Dirk Kolberg writes about himself…
Naturopath at Schloss Goldacker, born 19.03.1967

Many alternative practitioners have found their way to the profession via “detours”, including me. I spent my youth mainly with sport and music, playing the trombone and church organ or competing in basketball and athletics at national and international competitions.

As a winner of various composition competitions, I then began studying trombone and composition after my civilian service in home care for the elderly and sick, during which I was already intensively involved with the effect of vibrations on organisms (humans and plants). At that time I was already composing music for the deaf. Parallel to my studies, my passion for sport led me to trapeze artistry and to two guest semesters at the University of Sport in Bristol, England.

The effect of music (i.e. vibration) on the human body, however, did not let me go. So I began to attend various training courses in the field of health and nutrition and looked for a solution to cure my own genetic rheumatoid arthritis. During this time, I earned my living by creating music for industrial films, as well as medical film and multimedia productions. Another project led me to participate in the development of a therapy system.

From then on, I switched completely to the health sector, trained around 800 doctors, alternative practitioners and therapists in the application of the developed therapy method and became a state-certified alternative practitioner.

In my private life, I was involved in rescue dog work and disaster relief for a long time, and now I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs in nature or relaxing with windsurfing.

With best regards
Dirk Kolberg
